Dr. Alyssa Banks PT, DPT
Alyssa has practiced pelvic floor and orthopedic physical therapy for over ten years, and has been incorporating virtual pelvic floor care into her practice for more than 5 years. She has designed and started pelvic floor programs at several different physical therapy clinics and is an establish mentor for physical therapists designing pelvic floor programs at their own clinics.
Alyssa has a special passion for treating the pregnant and postpartum patient populations and has extensive experience treating both men and women for pelvic pain, urinary leakage, and prolapse symptoms. Since embarking on her pelvic floor practice Alyssa has had two children of her own and this first-hand experience informs her approach to holistically addressing her patient’s pelvic floor issues.
She is passionate about preventative care and believes that the sooner pelvic floor issues are identified and treated, the more effective treatment will be. She holds an undergraduate degree in neuroscience and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, both from the University of Delaware.
